I listened to Rosie King’s TEDMED talk and I appreciate what she said on how we try to fit the people we meet into tiny little boxes.  For me I think I do it so that I can find something relatable  with the person or find that unique quality in them that could make me a better person.  I can understand when Rosie stated in her talk” People are so afraid of variety that they try to fit everything into a tiny little box with a specific label.”

Who is Elizabeth Alden?

I graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a bachelor’s in business administration with a concentration in Accounting.  I am excited about obtaining my master’s in organizational leadership from Ashford University and taking my courses online.  It is a bit intimidating as it has been a few decades since I’ve been in school. I am embracing the journey.

I have been married to my supportive and wonderful husband, for 33 years.  We are the proud parents of two adult daughters. 

My hobbies are reading mysteries and doing crafts.  My passion is volunteering for the Special Olympics.  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to church and assisting my husband on the church magazine. 

My career goal is to be an organization leader in auditing for the health care insurance industry.
