Chapter 12 is related to research ethics. The ethical ex-ante evaluation of the study serves two purposes: it protects the subjects and ensures the legal protection of the researcher. Many research funders and publishers also require an ethical evaluation of the research. It is clear that these same risks are applicable to researchers, but the activities of scientists are assessed under other procedural protocols that consider safety factors at work (work safety) and - most importantly - are administered by other institutions: trade unions and university administration. Informed consent is the basic ethic for any study or research.

Chapter 13 deals with recruitment and retention. According to our text book it is both art and science because it is very important to choose potential participant and context of study for reliable results. (Tappen, 2015). Every context may be different like in some telephone calls may consider rude or people don’t bother to reply. It is important for researcher to plan different strategies to deal with this issue.  Trust, motivation and persuasion can be applied to increase the number of participants of researches.
