Pre-Final In-class writing assignment.

Choose two of the topics stated below;

Write paragraphs for each of the topics topics that you have chosen giving me a complete description and explanation of what you have learned.

1. Describe the basic elements of human comfort and how HVAC systems affect this comfort.

2. Describe a building’s roof, exterior walls, windows and doors, structural frame, foundation, and elevators, including typical problems that each of these building elements have, and preventive maintenance measures that hotel managers can take to keep these building elements in good shape.

3. Describe the hotel development process.

4. List typical reasons for renovating a hotel, summarize the life cycle of a hotel, and describe types of renovation.
