Visualization involves use of presentations such as graphics to convey particular information to individuals. In the discovery of connections, visualization is important in that it helps an individual to understand the relationship of the information presented through exploring presentations of interest. Visualization in the discovery of connection has some merits such as; it enables an individual to identify the relationships of various assets presented and also provides evidence for analysis at different levels (Narasappa, Mahalingam Bhavanam, 2016). However, in the field of the discovery of connections, visualization has disadvantages like the information may be misunderstood especially when visualization is more complex and there are high chances of edge-crossing.

In communication, visualization plays a very important part in informing individuals. Through visualization, information reaches to a high number of individuals since some presentations such as charts are easy to read and interpret these results to increase understanding of the information (Hall & Virrantaus, 2016). Visualization in communication has advantages such as it quick and faster clear understanding of the information presented and also visualization in communications increases trust of the information presented. Nevertheless, visualization in communications has some demerits like some visual presentations may not effectively communicate the information intended to the audience especially with complex visuals, additionally, some visual presentations can be costly and take much time to convey the message.

Showing trends in businesses, visualization is useful in that it helps individual who does not want to read texts to understand information's through presentations. The advantage of visualization in giving trend is that it enables an individual master the connection of the business operations and its performances and also enables an organization to identify its actionable items to understand where improvement in performance is required (Davey et al., 2017). Though visualization being useful in trends it has some disadvantages such as visualization trends lack guidance thus information may not be properly understood because there is no explanation. Moreover, there if differentiated insights based on each individual interprets and understands the visual presentations.
