Data visualization is concerned with presentations such as images, graphs, and other charts to inform individuals on certain data. Several reasons led to the selection of various visualizations. To begin with, the visualizations were educative on the subject matter they concerned in displaying the information. Secondly, the visualizations were easy to interpret thus making them easier to understand. The other reasons were due to availability of time that made it easier to look at various visualizations to understand the information they contained (Parsons, Hung & Baigelenov,2018).Lastly, was due to gain certain opinions on certain information's presented, for example, the visualization about water consumptions in different nations and population census.
Consciousness is very important in understanding information from any source and therefore visualizations are designed in a way to attract the scrutiny of the audience. The ground for attention to the above visualizations was due to the subject matter contained in them. The subject matter of the visualization led to a desire to know more about the topic (Blascheck et al., 2017). Secondly, the labeling of data by the use of different colors and highlight contained in the visualization led to been attentive since it made the process of data reading and interpretation easier. Additionally, proper positioning and formatting of the data that had proper arrangement and color that made it pleasing thus winning the attentiveness.
The visualization used in data presentations was effective to aid in informing the intended audience. Visualizations were made effective by the use of different colors to present certain variables. The use of colors in different visualization, for instance, the magazine about freshwater consumption was important because it led to a simplification of data that seemed complex thus making the viewers understand the information presented(Yu,Harrison & Lu,2016) .Additionally, the color also provided the in-depth attention to data thus creating attention to the targeted audience. Additionally, the effectiveness of visualizations was made effective by incorporation of subject matter in their presentations. The subject matter was used as a tool to attract viewers to have an interest in the data presented.
Visualization is a technique in data is mainly focused on making information more understandable to the audience. Therefore, visualization could be improved to make them more effective by, experiencing the appropriate emotions; emotions are helpful in visualizations because they make the information stick in the mind for a long time (Silva et al., 2017). Using the right emotions to the visualizations could improve the performance of making the information in the visualizations been understood to the majority. Positive and right emotions in the visualizing can increase the attentiveness of the audiences and also lead to the appropriate interpretation of data
Secondly, visualization can be improved by removing any kind of uncertainty in the visualizing. Uncertainty in most cases renders visualization to be ugly and undesirable in data presentations and thus may not meet the set objects since they create no interest to the viewers. Removing uncertainties in the visualizations shows a sense of confidence on whatever information presented thus individuals can have interests in the data and spend time on reading on them (Castagné et al., 2017). The confidence achieved through visualization improves its performance to meet the objectives of making the information understandable to many individuals as targeted. Additionally, removing uncertainties in visualizations can influence the individual in making decisions positively since they have confidence in the information presented to them.
To conclude, understanding of data visualization is important in achieving its main purpose of making information understandable to the individual. Understanding of visualization can be enhanced by use of different colors as an emphasis to certain information and also proper formatting and arrangement of texts since which are prime to attracting an individual's interests. Additionally, the effectiveness of visualizations can be improved by ensuring confidence is presented in the information presented.
