Riverbend City: Getting Started Mission

Introduction City County Bldg. Mayor's Office Accident Site Incident Command Post Conclusion Credits

Introduction Welcome to Riverbend City Riverbend City likes to think of itself as Anytown, USA. It's a place where diversity and cultural richness provide a vibrant urban experience. A place where bike commuters share the roads with truckers and taxis, school busses and soccer moms.

This mission is your introduction to Riverbend City. Each time you visit Riverbend City you are on a mission which is a group of scenes that relate to a particular scenario. At the beginning of each mission, you will select a location to visit in Riverbend City based on what elements are active.

City County Bldg. Mayor's Office Mayor Keith Bauer has a message for you. Welcome to Riverbend City. I’m the mayor, Keith Bauer.

Riverbend City is a great town rich in its diversity of cultures, industries, and scenic attractions.

Those that call Riverbend City home now find our fair city in great danger. Across from an elementary school a train carrying chemicals hit a sinkhole and derailed, spilling its contents onto the ground and into the river. I’m concerned this could turn into an international crisis given how close we are to the Canexican border and the Canexican town of San Serrife. I have to speak with the mayor from San Serrife and then go to the the incident command post at the accident site.

Continue exploring and I’ll see you later.

Subject: Nurse Shortage

We are experiencing a nursing shortage and request from the city in providing us with a budget from emergency funds to hire some temp's.

Accident Site Incident Command Post Today Riverbend City is a place where the unthinkable is about to happen. A Southern Inlet Metropolitan (a freight rail company whose lines pass through the city) train has derailed, releasing toxic chemicals into the air, soil, and river.

Thank you for helping Riverbend City through this disaster that has struck our home. We have the finest teams of emergency responders on the scene. This will stretch the limits of our response planning, management, and resources, but I can assure you every effort by every qualified person is being utilized to bring an end to this nightmare as quickly and as safely as possible.
