Question 1

Project management tools are soft wares that are used to help teams or individuals to organize their work effectively. Project management methodologies refer to the combination of methods that help to deliver a project.

Question 2

The tools include Gantt chart, PERT chart. Calendar, timeline, WBS chart, Mind map, Status table, and HOQ.

Question 3

A HOQ is s tool that is used in project management to find the relationship between the tools used in QFD for the facilitation of decision making. A status table is a tool that is used for the purpose of project progress tracking and does not have too much project detail (Patanakul et al., 2010). The WBS chart helps to breakdown the project into components that are scheduled and assigned to individuals. The project timeline helps to track the project since it shows the time in which each activity is supposed to be done. A calendar is used for the personal management of time in the project. PERT chart is a tool that is used to tackle the project’s implementation phase (Patanakul et al., 2010). Besides, it also divides tasks, and allocates time to the project. The Gantt chart shows the time by which each task is supposed to be completed.

Question 4

Project management methodologies include Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean, Waterfall, six sigma, and PMI/PMBOK

Question 5

Agile is a project management methodology that was created to respond to the inadequacies that resulted from the waterfall method. The methodology works best for projects that are incremental and iterative. Scrum is a methodology that ensures that complex products are developed (Rozenes, 2011). Delivered and sustained through a process that is collaborative, accountable, and iterative. Kanban is a methodology that enables the identification of bottlenecks by painting a picture to deliver high-quality results. The lean methodology minimizes waste and maximizes customer value using few resources.

The waterfall is a methodology that puts more emphasis on documentation. If a worker leaves, the one who replaces them starts at where the other one left. The six sigma methodology reduces errors in a project by looking at what is not working and removing it from the project (Rozenes, 2011). The project management institute becomes the project management body of knowledge that gives standards that should be used in project management.

Incorporation of various tools into Project Management

I will incorporate the various tools into Project Management through assessment of various tasks and their requirements. Activities have different tools requirements, and are performed for different objectives. That is why I will use different project management tools when performing different tasks.
