Purpose

This activity is intended to apply the developmental psychopathology concept of risk and protective factors to a case.

Task

Please review the case file attached to canvas module 1.

1. Write up the risk and protective factors in the case and write why you think they are a risk or protective factor. You can use your own clinical judgement or you could refer to the literature on risk and protective factors based on what pathology you think is present in the case. This can be completed in a bullet format if you wish.

2. Write how you might use these in treatment for the case (write at least two ideas for how you might reduce risk, either by targeting a risk factor and/or enhancing a protective factor).
