The PSA media commercial was written by Shelby Lynne. It was a Sandy Hook Promise also a nonprofit organization formed in Newtown, CT, following the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings. Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, also called Newtown shootings of 2012, mass shooting in Newtown Connecticut, on December 14, 2012, that left 28 people dead and 2 injured. After murdering his mother at their home, Adam Lanza fatally shot 20 children and 6 adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School before taking his own life. It was one of the deadliest shooting in U.S. history. The organization aims to stop gun violence and emphasizes knowing the signs that can lead to violence. The PSA media commercial was put together using subliminal messaging. The commercial displayed how we as student, teachers, and every day citizens go about our day without noticing the warning signs. The author message was very magical how she showed to variations on how we live, communicate, with one another.

On the other scenario, the author displayed the same video, but noting the obvious, or signs we should be aware of to prevent a mass gunman. In this particular video they happened to be students. The student that is being depicted in the video as the mass shooter, happens to be the students that is having acceptance issues with other students. That student is shown be bullied.

The author suggests a chilling and a scary detail of how easy it is to attend school and not know that there is a student with an AK 47 that has more rounds than you can fathom to kill you and everyone around you. The whole ad is comprised of how important it is to know and to be vigilant of your surroundings. The signs where there but, no one took the time out to see. At the end of the video it suggested that mass shooting is preventable.
