revising the short paper project
Hello Abdallah,
I think there is some confusion here. Did you see the message I sent on the 6th? The annotated bibliography assignment has already passed, and we are no longer concerned with it. (I think the term "annotated," which means "with notes" is creating confusion here.)
Here are the items that are to be included in the portfolio:
· A Cover Letter: This has been submitted. You do not need to worry about this.
· The final product of the "Short Paper Revision Project": You submitted an edited version of the short paper, but this should be sent in a format that allows me to see comments in the margins that explain why the changes were made. The tasks that were assigned throughout the semester must all be addressed in these notes. (Even if they did not result in a change, you should have notes explaining why you decided to keep things the same after considering the lesson in the task.) There is a list of tasks in the "Course Resources" folder. This list will tell you in which week you can find the lesson with detailed instructions.
· A revised version of your research paper with notes: A version of the draft must be submitted with comments in the margins (or footnotes/endnotes) explaining why you have made the changes you have made.
As discussed in the last class meeting, submitting a draft with visible comments can be complicated. You can do either of the following:
· If you have used Word to revise, when you convert to a PDF, your comments (marginal comments, footnotes, endnotes) should still be visible. You must check your submission to confirm that this is the case.
· If you have used Google docs., include a link in the submission comments in the drop box. The link should be set as "anyone with the link can edit." This will ensure that I can see all editing marks, and that I can send feedback through the document.
Because the semester has ended (our final exam period was scheduled for yesterday) I am under strict time deadlines for submitting grades. It is for this reason that I can no longer offer extensions. I am making a special case for you by allowing you to correct your portfolio, but it is important that these changes are made as soon as possible.
