REVISIONPLAN.docx

The Revision Plan includes: (1) a prioritized to-do list of 3 major things that you plan to do to your paper before you consider it ready for your reader (i.e., turn in a final draft), (2) a prioritized to-do list of 5 minor things, and (3) a short reflection paragraph.

A few details about the revision plan:

· It should be a Word document or other compatible file (for example, PDF).

· It should include at least 3 major things (global revision) and 5 minor things (sentence-level editing or other small features) that you believe you need to do to finalize your paper.

· It does not have to be written in complete sentences; it can be a bulleted list of phrases.

· It should be something that is useful to you to help you focus as you revise; I will not be "checking up" to see if you actually did these things.

· Examples of major things: reorganize paragraph order, write a conclusions, revise a thesis, add content and source material, etc.

· Examples of sentence-level things: write a title, fix MLA format, fix citations, add sentence variety, convert first- and second-person to third person, etc.

Use it to help you focus and prioritize what is most important to do so you don't get overwhelmed, and use it as a checklist for yourself so you can cross off your completed tasks (that always feels good).
