Changing the Discussion Settings in LEO
This document provides step-by-step guidelines on how to view discussion in LEO. It can be used by all users of the LEO system, when you experience problems with viewing discussions in the system.
NOTE: This document does not instruct on how to perform changes on any other settings, other than Discussion settings.
The following are the steps you can follow when you want to view and make changes in Discussions in LEO
1. Click on Discussions in the Tools menu.
After login on LEO, on the upper side of your homepage you will see the tools menu and then select Discussions.
2. Click on Settings. The button is found on the top-right corner on the screen. Upon clicking on Discussions, you will see the Discussion Settings in bold on the new page.
The Discussion Settings interface looks like this
3. Make changes on the Display Settings by clicking the "Always show the Discussion List Pane" box
You can also change the mode of viewing to either "Grid View" or "Reading View" by clicking on any of them.
4. Any further desired Discussion Settings can be made on this page by clicking where necessary or selecting from the displayed pull-down buttons, as shown below.
5. To save the new Discussion Settings, click on the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
You can observe how the changes made affect the interface by clicking on any discussions. For instance, you could click on “Student Introductions” to make yourself known to others, as indicated below, or on “Ask The Professor” to ask questions.
