Research Question
Write the approved research question for your final project.
Problem Statement
Here write two paragraphs. Describe the need for empirical evidence to support clinical work related to working with the population and the mental health issue you identified in your introductory statement. Provide information about the occurrence of the mental health issue such as the frequency of the issue presenting in clinical practice, the prevalence of the disorder in the US, and/or the difficulty/symptoms of treatment. Support with scholarly sources (not internet).
Describe the intervention you have chosen with a basic overview of what it is, how it works, or how it was developed citing scholarly sources. This section should be supported with scholarly sources such as articles or texts (Reference back to week 2 when you proposed your topics; supporting resources should be different from the ones you are reviewing for your bibliography).
Purpose Statement
Please develop a purpose statement that captures what you hope to accomplish in your research. For example, “The purpose of this review of professional counseling literature is to review empirical studies related to XXXX intervention when working with XXXX diagnosed with XXXXX.”
Summary of Literature Review
Smith, J. (2017). Interesting research article on the use of an intervention for a mental health
issue in a chosen population. Journal of Interesting Counseling Research,7(21), 123-145,
doi 10/12345/sdlk5869
This (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed method) study included (number) participants made up of (population). Researchers were investigating (research problem; topic under investigation). The question that the researchers were attempting to answer in this investigation was (how, whether, if….research question as you understand it). This study demonstrated ethical procedures as evidenced by (describe the informed consent or risk management; if it wasn’t reported, say that). Cultural considerations included (describe any bias, language, or sample disparity here). Data gathered from the participants included (name the assessment or the type of data collected ie interviews, focus groups). After analyzing the data, the researchers found (describe the outcomes). The answer to the research question was (state answer).

Implications for Practice
In this section, give your overall interpretation of the findings from all three studies you reviewed. Describe the general outcomes of what the individual studies reported in terms of how well the intervention works with the issue and population you were exploring. Answer your research question providing your overall conclusion when considering all three studies. If the topics in your articles were related to your intervention/population/mental health issue but do not match your research question (like used with a different population), explain how you drew your conclusions to answer your specific research question.
Finally, conclude your project by explaining how the studies you researched advanced the counseling profession. Describe how you would use the information you reviewed and the answer to your research question in your work with clients. Give one specific example of how you could use this information in practice using a case scenario or example.
You need an APA formatted reference page that includes all sources you cited in your introduction and the articles you reviewed.
