Specific business problem : The specific business problem is that most managers of new entrant companies do not apply effective and efficient innovative branding, product diversification, and marketing strategies methods that can give non-alcoholic beverage companies a competitive advantage over well established competitors in a monopolistic business environment. The first sentence of the purpose statement: The purpose of this grounded theory qualitative study is to examine the applicability of innovative branding, product diversification, and marketing ways that managers of new entrant companies to the non-alcoholic beverage industry can apply in order to gain a competitive advantage over well established competitors in a monopolistic business environment. Comment by RD: In the seminal work of Barney Glaser and Anselm Strauss, they argue that grounded theory is the process of generating theory from critical analysis of empirical data. You identify grounded theory, I see no examples of new theory development. It appears you have a case study design Comment by RD: Secondary Since the proposed study is Qualitative, please use the term: Explore The Word examine is used when the proposed study is Quantitative. Ensure you change the verbiage throughout your work to reflect the correct terminology. Comment by RD: The purpose of this qualitative multiple case study design is to explore product diversification strategies that some beverage company managers use to increase sales in a competitive market.

The research question: What new creative ways of branding, product diversification, and marketing can managers of new entrant companies to the non-alcoholic beverage industry apply in order to give the new companies a competitive advantage over well-established competitors in a monopolistic market?
