Reverse logistics is an advanced approach to monitoring the life cycle of your product after they arrive at the end of the consumer. This includes ways and means of how potentiality of reusing the product, proper disposals, and if the expired product can be utilized to create another valuable commodity. In context to the provided case, merchandise returned is a supply and chain measure that ensures right is delivered to the esteemed customers and on time. It's an accumulated measure of ensuring that the customer has been satisfied has been met (Smilet, 2019).

Nevertheless, these strategies have associated a set of problems that hinder service delivery and customer focus. Taking into account the close logistic, tracking the value unit is very challenging. This includes warrants and routing status of the product in events where complex logistics have been involved. It also makes provisions of repair and other processes to be complicated because of the long list of stakeholders (logistics, 2019).

I remember an instance when I had made an online purchase of the latest fitting that was trending in the fashion industry. I made all the measures and descriptions of the product I had requested for. As a result, I made an effort to return the product and ask for my funds. This harmed the company; first, it reduced the percentage of sales and their financial value. On that note, the return process depicted a very negative picture of the business. Customer mishandling and the long process of making a refund must have a massive impact on customer retention (Alex Tran, 2018).
