You have just been hired as a new HR manager. Leadership has asked you to hold a seminar for first line supervisors on retention and other performance related topics. Management has concerns that they are not dealing with performance issues appropriately and are worried about potential liabilities the company could face. Assignment Preparation: Retention
Your first assignment, Retention, will be due in Week 4. You are encouraged to select the format you will be using for the assignment now.
Choose a format from the list below:
· Letter/E-mail to Supervisor:
· Length: 1 single, spaced page.
· You may use the E-mail Template [DOCX]
· Quad Chart:
· Length: 3 slides (Title slide, Quad Chart slide, Reference slide).
· You may use the Quad Chart Template [PPTX].
· Speech:
· Length: 1 minute.
· Resources:

· Supporting Materials:
· Include a PowerPoint presentation of 3 to 5 slides and you may use the Speech Template [PPTX].
· Resource: Review the PowerPoint resources in the Tools and Resources section of your course.
· Include a transcript of the speech.
· Tips
· Write out your speech and practice with a timer.
· Give credit to your sources. You can do this with phrases such as “according to so-and-so,” “so-and-so says,” or “so-and-so found.
