Inferential Results
The project question was stated as: In healthcare workers caring for African Immigrant groups (P), how can an effective cultural competence training program (I) compared to no training program (C) be developed to improve the resource allocation and referrals for African Immigrants (O) in less than 4 weeks (T). The outcome variable was the allocation of toolkits to African immigrant patients by the attending providers. An Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test was implemented to determine if there were significant differences in the patients who received the toolkit resources before and after the providers were educated. The providers were educated after the first week of data collection. The findings are presented in Table 2.

Based on the results presented in Table 2, the number of patients seen (F(3,11) = 3.09, p = 0.093) and the number of toolkit resources issued to the providers (F(3,11) = 3.88, p = 0.055) did not differ across the four weeks as indicated by the p > 0.05. However, the number of times the providers utilized the kits for referral/issued them to patients differed significantly different across the four weeks (F(3,11) = 17.23, p = 0.001). Post-hoc comparisons using the Tukey HSD test indicated that the mean differences between week 1 and week 4 (Mdiff = 12.67, SE = 1.94, p = 0.001), week 2 and Week 4 (Mdiff = 11.33, SE = 1.94, p = 0.002), and week 3 and Week 4 (Mdiff = 7, SE = 1.94, p = 0.029) were statistically significant as indicated in Table 3.
