A company’s carbon footprint would represent the amount of carbon dioxide released during manufacturing, mining, and burning of material that emits carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Global warming is mainly influenced by the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Gases such as carbon dioxide are usually trapped within the atmosphere. Therefore, in every carbon dioxide emission, there is a means of calculating how much people or organizations are contributing to global warming.
