Attitude and values
1. According to the response the individual was brought up in a culture that is not diverse but their love for diverse culture was quite amazing. This led to the desire to know what other cultures are like and that is why the individual was able to understand the practices of other societies and recognize the differences in the world views between their society and that of other people.
The manner in which the individual is keen about the equation are questions that they were having to avoid having any mistakes shows clearly that this individual was brought up in a place where pay keen attention to details and they do not want the results to be affected by the small mistakes that they make. Their attitude has been changed to being keen and very careful which a positive impact is brought by their cultural background
2. People behaviours, attitude and values are always shaped by our upbringing. This upbringing is basically the life ones go through and therefore they understand it well. Most people learn from their parents who usually play the role of guiding us and ensure that they impart good moral to us as well as the behaviour that befits the societies. The choices made by our parent or guardian usually affect us especially on how we make choices in future. However, in some situation, there are individuals who break up from the manner in which they are brought up but these cases are very rare.
Before moving to America I was brought up in a different country with my parents. This new environment left me shocked since I was encountering different values and cultural practices. It was difficult to make friends due to the perception that I had and especially due to the environment. Many at times I was jut indoors since I feared for the stories I was exposed to before moving to the new environment. I eventually managed to make a new friend and my perception began changing. I began learning new thing and I realised that what I had believed was quite different from what was on the ground. My attitude behaviour and way of thinking completely changed (Perloff, 2010).
The value system in America is quite different and the method used to shape behaviour is direct. The children are exposed to so much freedom, rights an even more space and this are quite okay. The freedom to do what someone like at a tender age makes them grow up into an independent individual.
My attitudes behaviour and values have been affected by my upbringing. having grown up in two different cultures have been in a position to understand two diverse cultural environments and this has given the opportunity to relate to people more differently as compared to my friends. This has additionally changed the way I think and make decisions especially when it comes to a situation where many people are involved. I am wired in a way that I would like to think of the consequences of my decision on the lives of the other individual. My attitudes have drastically changed from the point of being judgmental to the point where am now accommodative and I easily welcome new ideas. Most of the values that I observed are quite in relation to the new environment that I was introduced to. These have helped me and have shaped me to become a law-abiding citizen (Tuan, 2013).
