Enjoying the experience in moderation

Explain that responsible gambling is OK.

Ask the Audience members for a story about when they had a fun time gambling and did so in moderation.

Explain the signs of moderate gambling addiction and severe gambling addiction

Tell the story about the Luxor in Las Vegas, and seeing a Gambler lose the last of his savings in a casino.

Teach some of the behaviors of responsible gamblers

Explain that responsible gambling is best achieved by those that practice the techniques that will be covered in the presentation today.

Explain that these are three basic behaviors that a responsible gambler needs to exhibit when at the casino.

Emphasize that Gambling is meant to be done with friends and the fun comes from experiencing the thrill of the games in moderation.

  • Enjoy the excitement of the game

After the first bullet appears:

-Talk about house advantage

-Explain that the odds are always in the Casino’s favor

-Explain that Casinos exist because they make money

When the second bullet appears:

-Talk about not making money the objective of gambling (Tell the Montreal Casino story about having more fun seeing shows and going to dinner after Gambling)

-The objective is to play and enjoy the thrill of the game as long as possible on a fixed budget
