Teachers have found themselves in the most challenging positions in the last two years. Proverbs 24:10"If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small." Teachers have shown the world that they are not quitters, and they stayed and overcame the difficulties of teaching their students. Because of my love for my profession and students, my strength ensured that those students succeeded, which outweighed the adversity. Proverbs 18:13, "He who answers a matter before he hears it is folly and shame to him." Sometimes we often respond without thinking and before hearing everything a person says. I learned a long time ago that it is important to hear everything that person has to say before forming an opinion because it is wrong to be so quick to judge. This type of behavior does not represent teachers well. We must actively listen and be patient with one another and our students when we are having a discussion. That is the only way we can learn from one another. Proverbs 27:2 "Let another praise you, not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips." I have never been the one to openly praise myself but seeing others do it all the time is annoying. I have learned it is best to let others praise you for doing something good. Because if you constantly praise yourself in front of your co-workers and when something goes wrong, you will reject any constructive criticism they will offer to help you because you have formed this arrogant character. Matthew 20: 25-28, in verse 25, talks about people who have high positions use their position to control others through personal influences. This verse has taught me to avoid breaking any rules or Code of Ethics because no one should manipulate a person to have their way. The way we become true leaders is by serving others humbly. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 talks about two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out for help. This verse goes well with collaboration. Teaching my students, we all need to work with each other towards a common goal. Teamwork among my co-workers is great because sometimes we do not have all the answers, and someone else does. Luke 9: 25 "For what is a man advantaged, if he gains the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away. Being a leader, we must think of others and not just ourselves. When we give our time to serve others generously, it comes back in the form of love and care.

Upon reading the case study, I have to say that there is no real way to avoid disagreements in a professional setting. This applies to every job a person may encounter in life. Adults are not going to always agree with one another. I think that what makes this notion ok is that in all of the disagreements, there must be an equal amount of respect. Especially when all of us have the same common goal.

1 Corinthians 13:1-7 teaches us that everything that we do or say must be done out of love and respect for one another. It also teaches us that we should treat others the same way as God would. And love them with that same strength.

James 4:1-3 teaches us to deal with the issues that trouble us personally. Oftentimes, we go through situations and instead of holding them in or communicating our feelings, we act on them. Sometimes these actions can be negative. The Bible teaches us to submit ourselves over to God and flee from the Devil. This can be interpreted as us praying that God removes unholy thoughts from our mind. The closer we are to Him, the better.

Genesis 14:14-16 and Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 teaches us about working together. With God on our side and using the resources alotted to us, we must help one another to reach the common goal. I have always been the type of teacher to work in isolation. But these two scriptures resonated with me because this school year, I was forced out of my confort zone. I had a teacher who I had to work with to make up lesson plans and other materials.

Lastly, Matthew 20:25-28 teaches us that in the end, we are all servants to God. It does not matter what your job is or what title you may have at that job. Our main goal is to be obedient and do God's work. When there is an issue that arises, we shouldnt focus on who is right or who is wrong. We should focus on how it will effect the most important people in our profession, our students.

Love should pervade every part of our life as Christians, including our profession. Many doors are opened by love, and many connections are strengthened as a result. "An unfriendly person pursues selfish aims and initiates quarrels against all sound judgment," states Proverbs 18:1(NIV). We should present ourselves as kind and trustworthy in order to avoid workplace conflict. Because God blesses us every day and loves us unconditionally, we should follow in His footsteps and be more loving and understanding. People notice when you show genuine affection. They are drawn to you because of your honesty, and ability to sympathize. In the classroom, you must treat all students equally. God doesn't care about people, so why should we? We should provide all pupils with equal educational opportunities that support and assistance. Also, in the workplace, demonstrate that you are a person who is prepared to help and compromise. "The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the intelligent seek it out," Proverbs 13:15(NIV) states. Always strive to improve yourself and seek out opportunities to learn new things so that you may be the greatest teacher you can be for your students. Regardless of what they do, be the coworker who is willing to go above and beyond to help others. Allowing others' negativity to cloud your delight and dim your brightness is not a good idea. Before attempting to be leaders, Matthew 20 advises us to be servants. You will harvest blessings if you sow love.
