The exchange between Iger and Steve in this chapter is wonderful. I was also very curious about how Disney and Pixar merged. Disney is now in a weaker position than it used to be. Its competitor, Pixar, is very powerful and has surpassed Disney Animation. Things were going badly for Disney animation, so Disney executives had to do something about it.As the head of Pixar, Steven is not an easy man to talk to, which is highlighted in the previous chapters. He has a mind of his own and is good at weighing the pros and cons. Iger made a very bold decision, and I can't imagine iger would have the guts to make a decision to buy Pixar at this point. Whether Steve agreed to cooperate or not, it took courage to break the news inside Disney first. The relationship between Disney and Pixar has not been very smooth, and given that Disney is not doing as well as Pixar, it is hard to imagine Pixar agreeing to Disney.Iger went ahead and I think it was very hard to be brave enough to take that step, even though he was very nervous about whether Steve would say yes. Disney is the underdog, and it would be difficult to talk about a merger. People are so afraid of being rejected that they don't want to do things that seem too hard.
