Santa Barbara Gym and Fitness is a health and fitness training center located in downtown Barbara. The gym is committed to giving its customers the best health and fitness programs that promote healthy living. The gym has ample training facilities, air conditioning and plenty of parking to access the facility which gives the customers as much convenience as possible. One of the revenue streams that Santa Barbara gym and fitness has is personalized training and well-being services. With the personalized training, a client can get to set personal goals to pursue with a trainer at the gym after which a customized program is set for him. Personal goals that may require customized training programs include issues such as body building, weight loss and training for sports competition. Another revenue stream for the health and fitness business is nutrition and diet consulting services. The gym offers members a chance to get guidance for the best nutrition and diet programs to follow for healthier lives. The diet and nutrition programs are usually customized to go hand in hand with the fitness goals that the individual has set. The third revenue stream for the gym is massage services where the clients who wish to relax from a hard work out or for other reasons can go to the gym and get a massage. Patients who require massage for medical reasons can also get their own personalized arrangements with the gym (Santa Barbara Gym And Fitness, 2019).
One customer complaints that has been identified with the gym business is that the owner and some staff members were being rude to the customers. The rudeness complaints had been made connected to customers who had made enquiries in the gym but instead of getting satisfactory answers, they were met with unsatisfactory answers or staff with a negative attitude. Another complaint that has been made about the business is that the manager was having inappropriate arguments or disagreements with the trainers sometimes in front of the gym customers (Santa Barbara, 2019).The complaints about the rude staff can be solved by having a training session with the staff members where they are taught the appropriate skills of handling the customers to give them the best experience in the gym. The staff members will be taught the appropriate procedures to follow in handling enquiries made by clients about the gym. The management can also set up policies and standards to follow when handling customers and potential clients for the gym. The complaint about the inappropriate behavior from the manager can be solved by having the manager handle operations issues only in his office and not on the gym floor in plain view of the customers. The manager can also use some training to acquire the best managerial skills related to running a gym business (Carroll, 2014).
The customers and other potential clients can be engaged through social media and mobile marketing. The gym can create social media pages where they can create health related posts that attract health and fitness enthusiasts. The social media pages can be used as marketing platforms for the different services offered including the occasional discounts and special offers. The social media pages can also be used as an interactive platform where health and fitness enthusiasts share information, ideas an motivation to keep healthy. The customers can also be engaged through mobile marketing where members who have subscribed to the gym can get alerts about new offers by the gym. The members who have fallen out of their routine can be reminded or given enticing offers to make them come back to the gym and continue their health and fitness goals (Carroll, 2014).
