According to the 2020 article "Everything You Need to Know About E-Commerce" by Donna Fuscaldo, E-commerce is defined as the process of selling products or services through the internet. The process is the same as going to buy products in a mall but, instead we do not have to leave our house or the couch. Customers go to the store's website or online marketplace and purchase the goods online using the credit card or any electronic payment. After the transaction is confirmed then the customer will have the product shipped to his or her house or the customer can pick up somewhere.

According to 2019 article Mobile Technology and Home Broadband 2019 by Monica Anderson the definition of mobile technology is the use of mobile devices such as cellphones and laptops to are internet-capable wireless devices.  As the name already says, it is a technology that can be portable. For example, we can have access to websites and online connections through our cellphones, which gives us access to technology almost anytime and everywhere.

One of the best ideas right now for businesses is to invest in E-commerce and mobile technology. Our society relies on technology, efficiency, and convenience. What is more convenient, efficient, and easy than shopping for a home? Being able to relax on the couch while looking to a list of products where we can just click on it, move to our cart, pay with our online payment option and expect the product to be delivered right into our home is something that is getting very popular. As being the manager of a store such as Macy’s, e-commerce would be the first thing I would invest in order to compete with my competitors. I would create a website and an app that can be download onto the client’s phone and then show all of the products and services online. The website would be separate between Men, Women, and kids, and inside each category, I would put the different groups of products such as tops, bottoms, activewear, swimsuits, classic wear, shoes, accessories, etc. Having all the products separate by categories makes a lot easier for the customer to use the mobile app. Besides the advantage of being able to shop without leaving our home, we would also have the opportunity to leave our feedbacks from products purchased. A lot of people still find shopping online a little odd since they cannot try clothes and products. Having real feedback from customers is important to give the customer the confidence to buy, try, and give their own feedback. E-commerce can bring a lot of benefits to customers when talking about convenience, consequently increasing the businesses' income success.
