3a.This article is a summary of how technologies and science has and is changing our food. It first introduces the story of a farmer and a cytogeneticist and how they shaped our current processes. It continues by explaining biotechnology and how it pertains to gene modification. It also explains some of the continued uses and changes and conflicts the new GMO industry has created and how they are pushing to expand GMO use. The article goes on about the way they marketed it to the people as well as some of the shortcomings and safety concerns.

4a. The source is credible because it comes from a verifiable university trusted site. The author is also a Dr. of philosophy and is a professor at the University of Evansville and she has been published several times. The article is also well cited with dozens of sources for her information to be verified. The article is newer about a year old, and not outdated because it is still relevant to the current food, and GMO conflict happening in the present day. The article is published in the “Macmillan Interdisciplinary Handbooks” edition 1 for the year 2018. One of the reasons I like this article was because of its objectivity. Although it seems to have a bias against GMO like my self it does give a lot of information on both sides of the argument as well as some ways the biotech firms used to help influence the consumers.
