Social media has become part of our daily lives as it helps us connect with others through technology. The social media site that I am currently using is Facebook. I use Facebook daily, logging in, and checking for feeds several times a day. Many reasons make me like Facebook as a social media site. Having 1.3 billion users, Facebook is a potential site for linking up with those friends we lost contact many years ago (Perrin, 2018). This great platform makes it easy to make friends from different countries, cultures, and regions from its massive search engine. Secondly, Facebook's messaging features include text messaging, audio recording, and video messaging that makes it a great platform to link up with my friends (Haden, 2015).

Another great facebook feature is Facebook groups. We have open groups to join and those that you send a request before being accepted. It is beneficial to me getting to groups whose agenda is interesting to me like groups that are concerned with career advice, cooking, sports, and those with funny videos being shared. It's a platform that brings all the fun and education features together (Perrin, 2018). Apart from being a social media fun site, I have realized that I can use the platform to create a business blog or professional profile to build on my business as a future professional. With my over 4000 connections, I will have a great platform to sell my skills (Haden, 2015).

An improvement that can be made by Facebook will be privacy (Perrin, 2018). Making the posts you make to be only limited to the friends that I have, and those that are not friends should only see my profile. From the list, the sites that are new to me are Nextdoor and Flixster. Nextdoor will let me find neighbors that we can hang out with and participate in beneficial activities while at home. Flixster will revamp my interest in watching through reviewing movies and learning about new movies.
