I understand your worriedness and let me give you some information on what can be improve for this type of situation. There are several other factors that with need to consider, for example, the number of people working since a body can exert body heat and affect the room temperature, what kind of windows and sunlight that enters the room, lighting, or even appliances such as vending machines. Nevertheless, lets focus on the computer equipment and number of employees. How many new monitors approximately will be added? How many employees? This information will be needed to perform a load calculation, it will help decide how much heat will be released on the specific environment and reach a specific needed temperature for the room or building. After calculations are complete, then it will be advised to upgrade the capacity to a better cooling system or in most cases a better ductwork and air flow will be needed without having the necessity of buying a new air conditioning system.

Thank you for reaching out to me about your concerns regarding the cooling system in your office.  I am happy to hear that you are expanding your business. Although we want to assure that your building is adequately designed for your business and the end users of the facility.  First we need to need to go back to the design and the system that was installed. We need to check the heating and cooling loads.  Once this information is verified when then need to do calculation such as variables for the building space.  Once this is completed we need to find out of the system is balanced .  We will take all factors into consideration when we are reviewing all this information.  We will also take in-account the growth that your experiencing to make sure your system is adequate and comfortable to work in.  Once we conclude our findings and test are complete we will notify you of any potential repairs, upgrades or changes that need to be made to the system.

Dear Owner,

The concern you have about additional computer equipment affecting your heating and cooling system is a valid concern. As you mentioned, additional computer equipment will cause additional heat production in your office area, but before making any HVAC equipment modifications, heating and cooling load calculations must be completed. These calculations will determine if an upgrade to your HVAC system is needed, and if it is, we can determine what upgrade is required for the additional equipment. I am going to recommend a follow up meeting with a design professional, a mechanical contractor, and an electrician to discuss this issue in more detail.
