Tourism, in Oman is seen as a very promising endeavor to boost the economic growth
of the country and lessen its dependence on oil and gas sector. Tourism accounts for
high percentage of GDP.
It is to increase the influx of tourists to this country and harness the scenic natural beauty
that Oman has to offer.
Tourism sector is not limited to a particular activity, however hotels and resorts play a
major role in catering to all the other activities.
Resort hotel is a luxury facility that is intended primarily for vacationers and is usually
located near special attractions, such as beaches and seashores, scenic or historic
areas, parks or spas.
