Your research paper assignment is to research and explain how tools and technologies inn Information Technology (IT) can support effective stakeholder participation in the policy-making process for a societal problem. A few examples of societal problems are unemployment, pollution, water quality, safety, criminality, well-being, health, and immigration. You may choose a specific policy area or an issue, describe the nature of the policy, the social aspects involved and identify how particular tools and technologies can be used to engage the people involved in the policy-making process.
