Organization Overview: Blackrock is a major Asian food chain established in 2001 with over 100+ restaurant locations in the United States

Current Challenge: Blackrock’s leadership team is interested in learning how they can harness their data to make better business decisions

Research Question:

How can Blackrock utilize Microsoft PowerBI to compare the popularity between Soba, Ramen & Pho ?

To help blackrock, we helped them to solve on their major challenges which is to compare popularity between soba , etc

Business Intelligence Overview

Definition: Process by which businesses analyze current and historical data using technological tools in enhancing strategic decision-making and staying ahead of the competition.

Purpose: Business intelligence tools have made it easier which process big data sets from many sources and deliver insights in visual representations that are easy to grasp and distribute.

Example of BI Tools: Power BI, Tableau, Datephine, Google Studio, Microstrategy, Zoho Analytics

Business Intelligence

Brand Positioning: Organizations can Identify trends that might enable them make effective decisions on their brand

Efficiency: Business Intelligence supports more effective decision making by relying on data-driven strategies and insights

Competitive Advantage: Business Intelligence supports knowledge sharing and organizational innovation, which can enable organizations develop a competitive advantage. (Eidizadeh et al., 2017)

For example, you can look at when your restaurant is busiest, change your staffing plan, and deal with the demand increase.

This graphic was extracted from our final Power BI report. It compares the number of times Pho, Ramen, and Soba were searched every year since 2016.

Here are some of the findings:

Ramen is consistently the most searched category amongst the three categories

Soba is the least searched category

Ramen and Pho are more popular in the united states than Soba

Its findings are consistent with our first graphic. It shows that;

Ramen is consistently the most searched category amongst the three categories

Soba is the least searched category.

The findings revealed that Ramen was the most popular category, followed by Pho

By incorporating BI tools such as Power BI, Blackrock can easily understand trends and make more effective business decisions
