SYSTEMATIC REVIEW WORKSHEET TO HELP DEVELOP YOUR INITIAL LITERATURE REVIEW
Definition: A systematic review must use explicit methods to identify, select, and critically appraise relevant research, and to collect and analyse data from existing studies in a consistent manner to answer a clearly formulated research question.
1) What is your current research aim?
a. Review existing research topics provided
b. Look at the literature cited in your topic of interest
c. Examine the Research Gap/ Aims/ Conclusions/Limitations to identify a possible aim for your research
d. Write the aim down
2) For your draft aim, look at papers from your topic to see how key terms are defined. For example “Project Sustainability”, “Industry 4.0”, “Leadership Styles”.
3) Clarify your aim using a PICOC. Fill out the below table with each section of your draft aim

Inclusion Criteria: Type of Studies you will keep (For example, published in the last 10 years Exclusion Criteria: Type of studies you will reject ( For example, studies that are based on empirical data collection, no literature reviews or theory)
