Update: Research Paper, In Professional Security Related To Young Male Terrorist And Unemployment. profile
Chapter I
Introduction (3-5 Sentences)
Statement of the Problem:
This study aims at drawing a relationship between joblessness and young terrorists. Globally, the unemployment rate has escalated, especially among youths. Most of them are graduates who have high expectations, especially with the government's promises of employment opportunities. Such circumstances result in unhappy lives, mental issues, and community despise. The growing population has also led to a scarcity of jobs as people fight for minimal resources. Besides, most unemployed young people are associated with cybercrimes, political violence, prostitution, and hustling (Adelaja & George, 2020). The few who manage to secure jobs complain of unhealthy work environments and low wages, further aggregating their situation. Unfortunately, the unemployment gap has attracted the recruitment of domestic terrorists. They take advantage of the desperate youths by promising them better pay than the government offers and protecting their families. The young people who have high expectations of leading better lives effortlessly fall into the trap. Instead of lavishing in poverty, they chose to make ends meet by taking the risk. Instead of using the skills to build the country, the skilled youths are manipulated to hack systems, treat the wounded soldiers, and develop attack plans into target areas. Another factor that attracts most young people into domestic terrorism is the corruption rates in their countries. They may have the required qualifications but miss the opportunity because someone else was given their chance. Such experiences facilitate the young people to engage in political violence to deal with their frustrations. They become radical in demanding their rights, making them ideal candidates for terrorist groups that fight the governments. According to Adelaja & George (2020), the Arab Spring revolt (2011) drew motivation from frustrated young people who demonstrated against the political oppression and minimal economic opportunities. Such groups tend to facilitate birthings of violent uprisings, hence the increased rates of domestic terrorism.
