Read the Washington Post article Think your dog talks like people? Scientists say you might just be right. You can access the webpage version here and the PDF version here . Write an essay to discuss your stance on the uniqueness or non-uniqueness of human language and how the findings reported in the article have or have not affected your stance.

Write about 500 words (about one page). In your response, we encourage you to incorporate one or more of the following concepts you have learned from our course:

2. The difference between phonetics and phonology (Video 12)

3. The pairings of form and meaning to make morphemes and words (Video 22)
