Should Marijuana be Legal in Different Countries

Marijuana has been one of the most use drug in America, or even in the world. “Marijuana is the most commonly used addictive drug after tobacco and alcohol. In 2018, more than 11.8million young adults reported marijuana use in the past year.” (“Nida”). There are many countries that have marijuana legalized. “Countries that have legalized recreational use of cannabis are Canada, Georgia, Mexico, South Africa, and Uruguay, plus 18 states, 2 territories, and the District of Columbia in the United States and the Australian Capital Territory in Australia.” (“Legality of cannabis,”n.d). So, the question I have is how the use of marijuana affects different countries, and how should it be legalize in other countries.

To answer this question, I will need to get into the benefits and harms of marijuana, how is the use of this drug differ from one country and another. There are also going to be an argument about rather this drug is harmful or addictive to human. Moreover, I will need to explain how this drug is used in different country. For example, in America, marijuana is usually use for recreational purposes while other countries might use it mostly for medical use. benefits of legalizing marijuana are it can be use medically to treat patients with certain illness, more patients can be treated. Government can get taxes from this drug and it can boost the economics of this country.
