Introduction
1. The preliminary research was conducted using credible sources (peer-reviewed) from online libraries such as Google scholar and EBSCOhost.
The proposal will aim at engaging readers to develop an understanding of the application of hypnosis in clinical treatment of mental disorders. Hypnosis is considered as a psychotherapy aid since the hypnotic state created during its clinical application enables patients to explore painful feelings, thought, and memories. Notably, hypnosis is an effective means of altering anxiety and pain among other somatic functions (Spiegel, 2013). As a result, there are a lot of the brain and body transformations associated with the clinical use of hypnosis which can be both beneficial and pose some medical risks to the patient. Thus, this proposal attempts to present a picture of the impact of hypnosis as a clinical treatment of mental disorders. As Vanhaudenhuyse, Laureys, and Faymonville suggest, the clinical use of hypnosis modulates the properties of self-consciousness, for instance, automaticity, mental ease, self-orientation, and absorption (Vanhaudenhuyse, Laureys, & Faymonville, 2014).
1. Purpose of the Proposal
1. The objective of the proposal is to describe the clinical use of hypnosis to treat mental disorders and illustrate the clinical benefits and risks associated with this kind of treatment.
1. The Rationale for Conducting the Study
Hypnosis is a clinical procedure in which there is always a suggestion by a health professional to subject a patient to behavioral, sensational, or perceptional changes (Vanhaudenhuyse et al., 2014). A review of the research articles reveals several clinical situations involving hypnotic procedures, for example, management of pain and treatment of depression, phobia, and other psychotic disorders. Hypnotic treatments have been used for a very long period, especially to relieve pain. However, there have been developments in the clinical use of hypnosis so as to treat mental disorders. There is a belief that hypnosis is closely associated with alteration of the state of consciousness. This raises the question of the possible consequences of the clinical use of hypnosis in the treatment of clinical disorders (Eime, 2012).Thus, there is need to investigate the effectiveness of hypnotic treatment of mental illness and identify the potential risks and benefits associated with the treatment. This information will be useful in making further improvements on the hypnotic treatment of mental illness.

1. Method (Participants, Procedures, Materials) and Statistical Tests
1. The Participants will be patients with mental disorders such as phobia, stress, and hysterias. Inadvertent adverse consequences of clinical and forensic hypnosis and minimizing the risks will be conducted. The data will be collected in form of questionnaires. The questionnaires will be filled in by participants. The questions will seek to inquire the difference in service provision between the existing program against the new program. Data collected from different regional centers will be recorded separately. Comparison and contrasting will be carried out on the data. The data will be empirical. The information will be interpreted using set models which will be designed to measure regression of data. Likert-type scales will be used for this study. A group design will interpret data since the program will be participated by all regional centers
