TITLE: Should Regulations Regarding The Use For Cell Phones While Driving Be Standardized?
Using mobile phone is dangerous and cost the life. It may cause serious accidents leaving us crippled and the spinal injuries that could have harmed the rest of our lives disabled. A recent research has shown that the number of accidents due to the usage of mobile phone has increased over time. The law making bodies have passed and enacted a number of laws about this issue such as the law restrict the usage during drive for looking the map and the while waiting in queue. New drivers are taught the rule that using mobile during drive is illegal and they will be fined for this. The government should charge heavy fines and penalties for this. Another reason is drivers use mobile phone with hand frees that is also not save. During drive talking on mobile phone increase stress level and the people used to lose concentration. Even the careful driver lost their sightedness and cause accidents. A minor split from the lack of concentration causes a crash. The law should be equally applicable to all states and all the provision should be met. It should be revised and enacted equally in all states (Ross and Brian, 2008).
The people should be aware of the facts and figures regarding the mobile phone usage while driving. The consequences of the usage are higher than expected. The one who are most affected by the usage are young drivers and the corporate. The trend is worrying and should act as a wakeup call to all concerned individuals to rise up against the use of cell phones while driving to curb road accidents and save lives. Driving may seem to be a simple task, but it requires full attention and focus. The dynamism of the road and its environments demands that a driver stay focused to avoid veering off the road and hitting oncoming cars. Two seconds of viewing at a phone screen may not seem to be much. However, unexpected events such as the vehicle in front suddenly slowing down, reaching an unexpected turn, change of traffic lights and failure in car systems may make the two seconds be the difference between life and death (Romeo, 2012). Significance of the Study: the study is related to the issue of mobile phone usage as it is increasing trend in young people. They are more prone to use technology. This provides idea about the use of cell phones and the risk involved in this and legislative decision about the standardization of cell phones during drive (Heath and Amie Marie, 2007)
Research Question:
The research questions are based on the fact about the standardization of the cell phone usage during drive and the define variations responsively and its impact also. The research will be made on the basis of following facts:
· Quantifying the driver’s distraction
· Finding out if the legislation is worth for these auto related death caused by cell phone usage during drive.
· On the basis of the research findings, make recommendation
Audience:
The lawmakers, general public and mobile companies are the audience of the research study who are directly involved in the standardization process of the study. Lawmakers are required to make laws confronting the basic issue in all states. The general public is intended to follow the rules and regulations made by the legislature to avoid loss to life. Mobile companies are considered to take part in this legislation indirectly through making campaigns for awareness.
Methodology:
For the purpose of the study desk study is made at the first phase. People are directly interviewed about the development project and their opinion is taken about the research.
They are asked what regulatory measures should be taken for this.
