Research Paper on President: John Tyler
Research Paper:
Start your report with an introductory paragraph that introduces the President and summarizes his life, make sure you include a thesis that will provide a road map for your paper. Your paper should cover three major sections, early life (pre-presidency), the presidency, and post-presidency. Make sure you end your report with a closing paragraph that summarizes what you wrote and learned, don’t forget to include the President's legacy.
(Need a clear strong thesis)
At the end of your paper, on a separate page or in a separate document, you will need to complete a bibliography. If you quote or utilize information directly from your sources you will need to cite within your paper. Historians generally use endnotes, however, you may use footnotes or parenthetical citations if you prefer. You need to cite all sources using Chicago citations, visit http://www.citationmachine.net/chicago for help. Do not use what you have learned in other disciplines, it is not what we use in history. Every discipline has a style that they use for reference.
Check that your grammar, spelling, and punctuation are correct. Make sure to use complete sentences and that your paper has been typed (it must be double spaced, 1-inch margins, and 12 point font)! Proofread your report for errors before you hand it in -- do not hand in a rough draft.
Topics to Research and Include in Your Report: When you write your report, try to include as many of the following topics as you can:

· Important events/acts that occurred during this Presidency
· People who influenced this President
