Research Paper Guidelines

This assignment is designed to encourage students to think about one specific topic in business environment. Your final assignment consists of two parts. You must complete each part to receive a final grade on this assignment.

Your topic must focus on a single area of the changing business environment, so topics are endless. Possibilities include:

VR, AI, virtual shopping, use of robots, increased automation in health care, ethics of big data collection, will Google Home change the way we live, Carbon Tax, sustainable cities, smart cities, robotics, and more…

Paper – Individual

Students will select and research a topic of their choice. Next, they will write a paper that discusses their research. All papers should follow APA format guidelines (http://www.apastyle.org/). Papers should be 1500 to 2000 words. A suggested format for the paper is:

· Introduction to your topic

· Summary of your research

· Analysis of key findings

· Conclusion

· References

NO LATE PAPERS WILL BE ACCEPTED EXCEPT IN CASES OF EMERGENCY OR ILLNESS.

Roundtable – Individual

Students will present the key concepts from their research to other members of their group. This is not a complete retell of your research, rather, you will provide your group with a brief overview of your topic and then highlight the most significant or interesting information from your paper. Your roundtable should include an interactive component, such as questions, activity, or game that will engage your group and reinforce learning. Presentations should be 15 minutes including your interactive component.
