Research logs are proof of your research process – from gathering sources to working on/nearing the completion of your final paper.

You now need to write a personal narrative of 1-2 paragraphs or so explaining your process and showing proof of sources and gathering and using sources. Note: this will be different from your annotated bibliography because those were for each source - this will be more general. If I were to write this, I might include something along the lines of:

Many of the modern quotes I have gathered come from two central sources I found on Netflix, No Reservations and Ugly Delicious. In No Reservations, there is a specific episode where Anthony Bourdain interviews a group of chefs that highlight the experience they have had learning to cook in New York and how that provided them opportunities to stay in the country. In Ugly Delicious, a similar situation occurs where chef David Chang interviews refugees from Syria, and they explain how cooking and the culinary arts have bettered their lives. These are some of the sources I will be using to show the connection of food and humanity and opportunities. And, I would write more to explain this.

Then, I might go on to discuss the books, articles and interviews I am using and how. I may also describe how I had other sources and I am no longer using them for ______ reasons. This highlights the research process.
