This article talks about the world aging population is faster with an anticipated rate of 22% by the year 2050. Many different parts of the world, for instance, France took a very long period (150 years) of time to adjust to the high-rates of the aging population. Other countries like China are estimated to take an extra 20 years to adjust to the same challenge. Though the effect of the high aging population begun in developed countries like Japan. Today world aging is across the board with low-income countries facing a severe threat from the high aging population.

This article is about the cost-effectiveness of the aging population. Chermie argues that the improvement of healthcare with a reduction in fertility has resulted in high rates of the aging population across the globe. The rising older age is leading to a high health-cost of maintaining a healthy livelihood. This is a burden to the government. This results from the shift of elderly care from family to government responsibility. The health-workers and care-givers' ratio in regards to elderly caring is ever decreasing. Also, most elderly prefer staying in their homes.

The article gives examples of how robots have been used in the health sector in various countries. The article gives an example of the Social-assistive robots which interact with patients in hospitals and nursing homes. The article gives ideas on how robots can be improved in certain measures to help in feeding the elderly and providing social interaction. The author discredits the biasness for opposers of robotic systems in the health sector and nursing home.

The article is an experimental research that illustrates the research carried out in designing a feeding robotic system. The research carried out on volunteers used bananas and carrots in illustrating how robots can be used in feeding the elderly fruits which have been cut into different sizes. The research aimed to create robots that could feed the elderly and relieve caregivers from such duties allowing them to carry out other roles.

Robots have been used in various parts of the economy including firefighting, mars, and also hospitals. The application of robots continues to expand in use in various sectors including healthcare, transport, and exploration. The article goes further to cover the various methods and parts of robots. The article covered the perceptions around robotic use and interfaces that robotic designing goes through.
