Research essay requirement

Building on Part A of your research essay, apply theoretical frameworks from the course to research, identify, and critically analyse the following:

a. Problems or challenges that the company faced with respect to any two of the areas of IHRM listed below, while operating in the host country that you have chosen in Part A of your research essay:

1.Sourcing (Staffing/Recruitment/Selection)

3.Training and development

4.Compensation

5.Employment relations

6.Cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and international alliances

b. Suggest solutions or recommendations for the company on what could the company have done to achieve a better outcome.

Research essay guidelines

A. You will need to include content from Part A into writing Part B of the research essay, however, you can rewrite it in order to fit the content with Part B.

B. Your research essay must contain in-text citations and a reference list in APA format 7th edition.

C. This is a research essay, so you are expected to use credible academic sources to support your argument.

D. The word limit for the essay is 2500 words, with +/- 10% margin (excluding references). Marks will be deducted if you are outside the word count.

E. Please indicate your name, ID number, and the ‘number of words’ on a cover page.

F. Use a research essay style (not a business report or academic report).

G. Submit your essay to Canvas. The Turnitin report will be scrutinised by the markers. Plagiarism and academic dishonesty will be penalized.

H. Students are strongly encouraged to seek assistance from the Business Communications Team (BCT) prior to the submission date of this essay.
