Research Assignment Rubric
“Critical thinking is defined as creative thinking, innovation, inquiry, and analysis, evaluation and synthesis of information. Creative thinking is both the capacity to combine or synthesize existing ideas, images, or expertise in original ways and the experience of thinking, reacting, and working in an imaginative way characterized by a high degree of innovation, divergent thinking, and risk taking.” 1
The following rubric has been partially adapted from the COB Writing Rubric2 and also the UHD/AACU Critical Thinking and Creative Thinking Value Rubrics3 .
