Bad Parenting

The steps I took in order to choose my topic was finding a topic that I could relate to. Sociology is not my major, but I should know more about marriage and family if I plan on having a family of my own. My mom and dad didn’t always make the best choices. I always told myself that I would be a better parent to my kids. I chose bad parenting because I want to understand parenting more and not follow the same mistakes my parents made. I’m not with child and I don’t have kids. Everyone should be informed about bad parenting before having a child. First, I got the definition of bad parenting. Bad parenting is a term that can be used to surround a number of events that are harmful to a child. Furthermore, bad parenting is a belief that results in the abuse of the child: whether it’s physicalemotionalsexual abuse or neglect. Although, it is accurate that many children that suffer abuse at the hands of bad parents do grow up to become successful adults, the real truth is that a lot of individuals are at larger risk for expanding behavioral and psychological problems than children who didn’t grow up in the same environment . Considering the mass of situations in which bad parenting and child abuse can cause to the psychological and behavioral problems of the child, it is possible to understand how children can learn to manage and grow into successful adults.
