Purpose Statement The purpose statement is to create strategies to help ELLs advance in ELA by implementing professional development plans.

RQ2: What strategies teachers can implement to help students?

RQ2 align by identifying what teachers have incorporated into their lessons to help ELL students.

RQ3: What are ELLs finding most difficult in ELA?

RQ3 align by identifying the cause of low performance in ELA.

RQ4: What obstacles ELLs face when reading?

RQ4 by evaluating student’s test scores: listening to students read out loud and their writing skills.
