Strategic Plan project
HCA 541 Requirements and Evaluation of Strategic Plan Writing
Each HCA 541 student is required to develop and write a strategic plan for a healthcare organization of his or her choice. Each student may develop and write a strategic plan for his or her current organization/institution, or for any other organization/institution.
The course covers many strategic management and marketing concepts, theories, frameworks, analytical tools, and real cases. Students will analyze and apply these principles and methods in healthcare organizations. As part of course requirements, students are asked to develop a strategic plan that highlights specific issues in the strategic management and marketing of a healthcare organization. The strategic plan will increase the student’s critical perspectives, awareness, and knowledge in the course subject area. Students choose the focus based on their professional interests within the specific course’s context.
The strategic plan outline must be approved by the instructor. Students may send me a proposal by email before plan writing. In the proposal, students should tell me the full title of your strategic plan, why the organization/institution is your best choice, and how you plan to write. I will approve your proposal if I think it is suitable and feasible. Students may consult with me individually anytime during your paper writing.
The paper should demonstrate that the student has read carefully and critically in the relevant field. The student has a chance to present his/her point of view through a well-structured plan while properly citing others’ ideas. The references section should include several reliable, current, and professional sources.
The strategic plan must be at least 7 pages long including an abstract, with 12-pt font double-spaced, and 1 inch margins all around. The paper should adhere to the American Psychological Association style manual, and must be submitted to the Blackboard on or before the due date. Student work may be checked by SafeAssign, the Blackboard plagiarism detection software. Violations of the student code of conduct (plagiarism, cheating) will result in an F being assigned for this course.
