The aim of this work is to stimulate critical reflective thinking by encouraging you to analyse the learning materials, discriminate as to what is relatively important, filter out what might be less important and focus on areas that have assisted in the development of your knowledge of analytic and creative mindsets.

Requirements:2minutes to complete this task

1. Spend 20 seconds outlining the course. Remember this should not simply be a run through of everything that you have learned. Try to demonstrate linkages.

2. In the second section, spend roughly 45 seconds for each section you have chosen to focus on. You are required to explain why these sections are the most important to you. This may or may not be what other students decide to focus on. We expect a wide variety or responses here.

3. The final 10 seconds allows you to wrap up all the elements. In addition you will need to verbally provide your reference list at the end. Update: All submissions will require the inclusion of a written reference list at the end of the presentation. This will be formatted using APA-7

5 Group creative processes:

Preparation is the stage where the team defines the problems and gathers information. This stage consists of the steps of observing, listening, asking, reading, collecting, comparing, contrasting, relating and analysing information so that the team is prepared.

Incubation is the stage where the team takes time away from the task or problem, and allow their subconscious minds to operate. Wallas believes that this stage is important as many of the censors imposed by our conscious minds are relaxed during incubation. This results in the team being able to contemplate and consider a wide range of options or solutions.

Illumination is the stage where the insight comes into existence. This is the stage where there is an ‘Ah Ha’ or ‘Eureka’ moment as the original idea comes into the team’s consciousness.

Verification is the stage where the idea is tested and applied. There may be some iterations here if the idea falls short. The team might revisit some of the earlier stages and prepare again and/or take more time to incubate.
