Research Project

You are required to write a five-page paper on a work of art assigned to you. This project combines research, creativity and reflection – critical methodologies in art. You are also required to create a work of art similar in style to your piece. Your paper must include the following:

1. a short biography of your artist;

2. a description of your work and the materials;

3. an examination of how this work exhibits mental health issues

4. personal reflections on the process of art making.

Technical Requirements

Limit your sources to three scholarly works.

Use the Chicago Manual of Style (please consult the Purdue Online Writing Lab Online) for footnotes and bibliography.

Papers should be five pages, double-spaced, including footnotes.

Paper should include an image of selected work AND your personal interpretation.
