Q: Can I write about other cases?

A: No. The only case you need to write about for CW1 is BP and Deepwater Horizon Disaster, which is available to view and download in the assessment area.

Q: What do you mean by not using evidence outside the case?

A: You can cite external sources for theories, frameworks, and theoretical information. However, you can NOT cite any external sources for the facts of what was happening at BP's Deepwater Horizon Disaster. Facts and empirical evidence must come from the case.

Q: How many references do I need?

A: As many as you see fit. References are for theoretical information only. See above.

Q: Can I cite class materials?

A: It is not advised to cite PowerPoint slides. You may, however, cite the textbook or the articles that has been mentioned in the slides. For how to cite, please refer to the library resources or simply google to find out.

Q: Can I cite case studies in tutorials, such as Lego case?

A: You may cite a case study in the condition that it contains important information for an organization like BP in a period of post-disaster. To meet the condition, you will consider 1) whether your case is in the similar industry as BP and/or 2) whether your case experienced the similar post-disaster management as BP did after DeepWater Horizon, and/or 3) whether the lessons from the case you intend to cite are applicable to BP.

Q: What is the reference for the BP case study?

A: Please google how to cite a case study in Harvard style to find out.

Q: Can I use first person?

A: Yes, please do.
