Rationale for the presentation:

As the designer of the research study, it is important that you are able to communicate your work to your colleagues in a professional manner.  As a researcher, you may be called upon to do presentations to large and small groups, and the participants in these groups will have varying levels of experience with your topic.  As a resident expert on your topic, you will present your proposal to a small group of classmates.

 

Format:  The presentation will be similar to a thesis proposal presentation.

Begin with  a brief overview of your topic and its importance e

Briefly touch on a few studies and their findings

Explain your design and why you chose it

Present your hypothesis/research question

Discuss the perceived limitation of your study

Respond to questions from the group

 

You will have approximately 10 minutes for your presentation.  Visual aids/power point's are helpful.
