• Identify and describe the relevancy of cultural anthropology for understanding human diversity or a major world issues using terms, methods and/or theories identified during the course?

• How can the topics or methods used in cultural anthropology be integrated into the concepts derived from your major or career goals?

2) Include at least one in-text citation from a peer-reviewed academic journal to support your ideas.

3) Format your paper using the following guidelines:

• 1-inch margins all sides

• 12-point font

• Single-spaced

Additional Information

1) Academic journal articles can be accessed via the University of Utah Library’s Online Journal Database or via Google Scholar. For example, if you want to find an article between "games" and "anthropology" using Google Scholar, type "anthropology of games" into the Google Scholar search engine.

2) Good academic Anthropology journals include “Annual Review of Anthropology,” “American Anthropologist,” “Current Anthropology.” Other sources will be accepted.

3) In-text citations should appear as:

• According to Macfarlan and Quinlan (2008), kinship and gender affects human decision-making in economic experiments.

• Economic experiments show kinship and gender affects human decision-making (Macfarlan and Quinlan 2008)

4) References Cited should appear at the end of your document and look like:

• Author(s). Year. Article Title. Journal Title. Article Volume(Issue): Page Numbers.

• Example: Macfarlan, S.J. & Quinlan, R. 2008. Kinship, Family, and Gender Effects in the Ultimatum Game. Human Nature. 19(3):294-309.
